Tuesday night....

Tomorrow is cinnamon role day!! It is so cool! It is also Wednesday...
Amy wrote in her blog... she summed up a VERY busy year in just a few paragraphs!! I am glad she is writing again!
I am missing the babies! I didn't get to see the boys or Nora this weekend... I need a baby fix! Joe and Katie and Nora are in Mankato. Joe started his new job today. Maybe we will see Nora this weekend! I also hope to see the boys this weekend!

Monday Mourning

Yes it is Monday... That means I am sitting here getting ready to go to work. That means i have to eat lunch at a crummy time... and then do hall lunch duty. Nothing better than saying"Walk" "be quiet" what fun!
Anyway yesterday was very nice. Jed Joe Amy and Matt all came over for dinner. Katie and Nora didn't come over because of Jed being sick... what ever he had scared me and as much as I wanted to see the babies I am glad that they didn't get exposed to it... We did miss Katie, Jeff, Kirstin, and the babies tho.
Jed is feeling much better. He even did his show last night.
I am watching another one of those commercials... The ones where they take a work of art... like a Picasso and rearrange the parts to make a "beautiful" person... People wonder what is wrong with kids but then they allow commercials like that... nothing like sending a message... YOU are not good like you are and only we can help you. The ones with the Romanesque figures that they liposuction into "beautiful" women are really crappy!! All I can say is that if i needed to have cosmetic surgery to correct something I would not go there. It is enough to make a normal woman picket their building... yeah,yeah, i know I am overweight but there are millions of girls out there who are beautiful the way they are and this commercial is just insulting... BOOM!@#^^)*^)

oops... I just fell off the soap box... sorry. But it is a dumb commercial!!
Now I have to go to work. I am driving Joe's Jeep... I thank him for not having to walk to work....are you afraid yet Joe?... Talk to you all later!

Saturday night

Last night was an interesting night. Jed called and said that he was sick... that in itself is amazing. Not one to ask for anything, Jed rarely calls... so when he said he was just going to wait and see how he felt I thought that was fine. Then I started thinking about how he felt... headache, stiff neck, vomiting, muscle aches and tingling... I started thinking what about what could be wrong with him and decided to just call him and take him to the emergency room... by then he had a fever of 103 and chills, headache, nausea, just feeling like crap as he put it. So we got to the emergency room, where Jed had blood work, an IV for fluid and anti nausea med, cat scan of his head, strep test, all of which were negative for any infection. Then came the "Lumbar punch" or aka a spinal tap. We of course waited for all these tests and worried. They gave him antibiotics and the we waited some more... Jed started looking better and feeling more human.The results came back at about 4:30 AM and that was negative too... so basically the reports came back negative... we went home with anti nausea medicine and Jed slept when we got home at 6:00... so did Larry and I...

Junk room

Today i started at about 7 am and spent the day cleaning out the room that has my computer and other junk in...I went through all the cd's laying around and marked them. i cleaned out old magazines and now I really want to get a big shelving unit to make things look a little nicer in here. it is clean tho...
I also learned that it isn't a good idea to snap a cd in half... I didn't realize that they shatter...little pieces of plastic fly everywhaere... wow!
I didn't find anything too exciting. I did find the Sams club picture cd that Joe couldn't find. I accidently discovered it!
Tomorrow we are having a honey baked ham and i want to go eat some of it but Larry won't let me! He is mean!

Things that I am blessed with

I have been feeling sorry for my self so I decided to write this list...
1. My Husband... He goes out of his way to do nice things and I am not always very appreciative...
2. My four wonderful children...Jeffrey, Joseph, Amy and Jed.
3. My three great in-law children... Kirstin, Katie, and Matt
4. My three beautiful grandchildren Logan,Liam,and Nora
5. My new grandchild who is on the way... baby Klein
6. My nice house
7. most of the time my job.
8. Getting to go camping
9. My computer
10. and everything else that is nice in my life that i forgot to say...

Well I think that it worked. I do have a lot to be grateful for... maybe I am just crabby!

Sunday night already!

This week end has flown by. Friday night I didn't really do anything... Saturday Larry and i went to pickup Amy and Matt at the airport. Their plane was late... before we picked them up we picked up Lucy and took her home. She was glad to see us!
After we took Amy and Matt home we went back to our house. Joe and Katie and Nora were at our house. We got to talk to Joe and Katie and play with Nora. She was very much fun... here is what she looked like...
Today we went to Jeff and Kirstin's house to visit them...and play with the boys... Liam showed off his two new teeth. Logan watched tv with daddy and papa. We played on the floor for a while and had fun... Good morning...this and that

It is so quiet around here... kind of weird but freeing in a way... I am looking forward to having Jeff and Kirstin be able to come over here with out getting sick! Now ,tho, Jeff has no reason not to come over here... sorry Jeff!!
Not much new here... I am going to try and clean out my junk- computer room... move out Amy's stuff and put it in the basement and put all of the junk laying around in here into the closet...
Then i want to bring my scrap booking upstairs... it is warmer here... but then it involves a lot of junk!
I also have to find some ideas for pages. Now maybe I will finish the wedding scrapbook that I started about 6 years ago!
Amy called the other night. She and Matt are having a great time. She was a little sick the first night but she is not any more... she went snorkeling and actually touched a fish! We will have to get together and see the pictures.
I have started taking vitamins again. I hate swallowing them... they are gross! they remind me of the iron pills I had to take when I was little... ish!!
If anyone has any fun blogs to read let me know!! I am out of books and blogs are like little stories... I will read almost anything!

Puppies

Yesterday we had to put both of our puppies to sleep. Kui's kidney stones were back and she was miserable. Chewie turned out to have a heart condition that Yorkie's are prone to. It was sad but better for both of them. It is quiet around here... here are some pictures of the puppies

Happy Birthday Jeff

About this time 33 years ago I was waiting for my first baby to get here. Jeffrey was born at 12:24 AM on January 15th. That year the Superbowl was the Sunday before Jeff was due. it made the game a little more exciting for me. Every time I made a face or a noise everyone looked at me like I was going to give birth right there.

What a week -end!

Wow it is only Saturday nite and I have seen all the babies! I babysat for nora lastnight. She was a little sweetie... here is a picture of her...
She and I played in her exer-sauce for while then we walked around. She was in her jumperoo and then in her swing. She was proud of her daddy because he got a job as a lawclerk for a judge n Jackson Minnesota. So now Mommy's going to be a Dr. at the Mankato Clinic and they will all be living in Mankato.

Today Larry and I went to babysit for Logan and Liam. They were playing for a while when we got there then they got ready for bed and had their bottle and fell asleep like little angels. Liam has a new tooth... it is sharp!! This is from Christmas with the Smentek family...
They are all cute and I am tired... ttfn!!

Speaking of procrastination! I heard that people are procrastinating more in the last 30 years and it can make you unhappy. It was a five year study that took 10 years to complete...That is truly what they said on the news...

We drove Amy and Matt to the airport this morning... They are getting out of town at the right time! It is cold out there!

Tuesday

Sunday was a lot of fun. We missed Katie and Nora but it was good that Nora didn't get sick... We had lots of fun and ate and talked. I think I had a boy in my arms most of the day... I even got some cool gifts. I love my mouse pad... everyone enjoys looking at the babies and the kid's want to know how I did that! I also got a card to Barnes and Noble... so that takes care of some of the book problems from the last post!
Today was day 4 if you know me very well you know that I hate Day 4's... and I am very crabby! I have 6 checkouts in a row and that gets hectic... that is all i know today...

Christmas with the Smentek family today! I get to see the boys! oh yeah I also get to see all the other kids... Just kidding I love it when i get all 4 of my kids in one spot... It doesn't happen very often any more... getting older, having their own lives, always busy, so on and so on so i love it when it does happen!
Not much else is new... I spent the say with Amy yesterday getting beautiful... I am not sure how it worked for me but she turned out great... She is all ready for her cruise... beauty wise that is! Last nite I finished reading another book... If I am going to spend this much time reading I am going to have to save lots of money because buying 50 dollars worth of books may be too much money!! I still have 3 or four books to read... then I am done!
I will have to go back to playing on the computer!

Nono

Last night Joe, Katie and Nora came over. We ate supper(Chinese) and then Joe, Kate and Larry went to see James icky Bond and Nono and i got to stay home and play. We played on the floor with her toys, we sat in Nana's big chair and we walked around... Then Nora decided she wanted to eat... so I gave her a bottle and then she fell asleep. She was sleeping pretty well and then the phone rang. I didn't want to move with her and I thought that if it was important they would call back. Then the phone rang again... and she woke up... and i didn't get to the phone in time... what i didn't know was that when Nono wakes up like that she is crabby...really crabby... sleepy but won't relax enough to sleep again... so we walked and shhsh'ed and walked some more. Yes I tried a diaper change and yes I got her to stop crying... but she went right back to it... It even took mom and dad a while to calm her down... but we did have fun! I didn't even take one picture... boo.. After they came home and I *69ed the phone I found out that it was Jeff... so call me back Jeff! Sorry i didn't get there... we don't have caller ID so if you call us just say something and we will pick up or call back! After Nono and mom and dad went home... Larry made popcorn. So I got to eat dinner, I got to see Nora, Joe and Kate, I didn't have to go see James icky bond and i got popcorn!! all in all a good nite!
well now I get to go try and get all spiffed up... later

Cold's are icky

It seems like every kid at work is sneezing and coughing. i have been using the hand sanitizer and trying to stay clear of germs.
Liam and Logan and Jeff are still sick. I feel bad for them...but then maybe it is Kirstin that we should feel sorry for... she gets to take care of the three of them!
For some reason catching a cold from some random kid at school or going to target or anywhere else for that matter and catching a cold is probably unavoidable. But if I catch it from the boys that will be fine!

Back To work...

Christmas vacation is over... i have to go to work today... boo... I don't mind going to work.. It is just that I prefer staying home! On the bright side it is Wednesday already... and we are off Jan 15th again...
Another good point about going back to work is I won't have time to read the books that I bought too fast. I read two of the new novels, that I bought on Saturday, already...

I might as well make a list about going back to work... I am going to be more positive this year...
here goes.

There are soon fun things coming up this week and week end... I get my hair colored, I get my nails done, both of those with Amy, i get to see my kids... all together... on Sunday. We will see Mike and Dawn too. and best of all I get to see all three babies... with no other grandparents around... well other than Larry... Nana rocks! no pun intended... but the pun is cute!
Okay... now I have to go get ready for work... yea!(that was pretty positive... wasn't it?)
