Emmy News Flash!

Dick Smothers just gave me the answer to what the truth is... it is what people can get you to believe~~... no wonder I am having so much trouble!!!

Political Editorial

I hate politics.... that said... all I want to know is the truth... neither of the major sides seems to be able to get to the real honest truth... not the spin that one side or the other want to put on it or what it might be but the honest to goodness TRUTH... I think that even that newly formed Truth Squad will have a hard time... in the mean time... kids go to school, and bed hungry, dads and mom lose jobs, homes and sleep.... but Politicians contiue to make promises they can not keep and many they shouldn't keep... it is crazy.... that is all...

Quiet weekend

This weekend Larry had to work afternoon shift. In spite of that we did see Amy and Zoey on Saturday morning to go buy her birthday wagon and her first pair of new "real" shoes... she had fun walking around the store and she also enjoyed trying on shoes... I forgot my camera...
After we got home from that trip I took a nap... then I met Jeff, Kirstin, Logan and Liam at Chuckie Cheeses... hereare some picture of that...

The boys and Nana were overwhelmed with all the activity going on there! I don't think I have been to anyplace like that since Jed was little...
Sunday I went with Amy and Zoey to have some pictures taken.... here is how that went...
We started out okay... little hesitant but kind of going along... but it went downhill from here...

It was just too awful so we rescheduled, played a little and left...We went to Target to return Auntie Amanda's 4th microwave... that is another story... but the short version is Larry and I are not going to give her a microwave! Here is Zoey on the way in to Target...not even a half hour later...

Notice she didn't even have a nuk in her mouth? Gotta love that little sweetie...
so that is the way my weekend went... now I think that I may go to bed... well maybe later... update your blogs children!!!

Dangerous daytripping...

This past week end we didn't make a reservation to camp but we wanted to finish the State Park Passport that Amy and Jed started when they were younger. I made a list of the parks that we still needed and early Saturday morning we started out. Our first stop was at Keyes in Woobury for breakfast and then because we were already over that way we headed for Hudson... for some reason Larry started calling this a dangerous day trip... maybe because of the way he thought that he was going to drive but the name stuck... so off we went. We stopped in Hudson at the Wisconsin Travel information.... then we headed down the Wisconsin side of the St. Croix and the Mississippi... We stopped in Prescott for Dad to go check out the over look... here is what I saw from the car...

We crossed over the river at Red Wing and headed toward the parks along Highway 61... our first stop was Frontenac... it was pretty as usual.... Next we headed farther down 61...we needed John Latsch...Don't bother to stop there... it is a glorified rest stop... then we went to Great River Bluffs park. It used to be called O.L. Kipp and it was very pretty...Here is Larry after stamping the book... We thought that it would be fun to camp there...This is what it looked like in the fog....

We also got stamps from Lake Louise, Whitewater, and Carley ...
We stayed in Rochester and had a nice dinner at Timber Lodge... It was a fun weekend... too bad we had to come back!

When we got home Nora called and told us all about the weekend in Duluth... Joe should blog about that! I also heard the the dudes and Zoey went to the zoo... Jeff and Amy should blog about that too!

The end of the last post!!

I was having trouble with blogger... so I published instead of saved... so here is the rest of yesterday...

Here is the birthday boy...
Liam and Nora discuss cups...

Here Liam and Logan are discussing the ice in Jeff's water...

Matt and Zoey showed off Zoey's new skill of walking a few steps by herself...Henry and Joe watched the crazy Nora fun...

Nora can fold her tongue...

She is wearing an old helmet of Joey's that we doug out of some toys that were at Great Grandma's

and while I detest pictures of my self this one was kind of fun... I am holding the two youngest babies...they are almost the same size! It is crazy...

Inver Grove Heights days and Jed's birthday...

Today was Jed's 23 birthday and Inver Grove had a parade.... I don't think that it was for Jed tho... but here are some of the little parade watchers... check out the beads on Liam and Logan...Zoey just watches them...

Here is Liam checking out his new water bottle... by the way any political stickers appear ONLY because little kids like stickers and while they can read letters they have yet to form a political platform unless maybe it is MORE CANDY!

Here is a ;icture of Lirstin and Logan....
Here is a closeup of Logan... he was a victim of
1. carrying too much stuff,
2. running and pushing off on hardwood floor
3.while wearing socks and falling forward
4.and not being able to catch himself when he hit the rocker because...(see number 1)

Nora only missed a little of the parade but she got caught up quickly... see the sucker, the pencil and the stickers?
