Stuff

Thursday night is turning out to be a pretty good TV night... First Big Brother... yeah I am hooked... It is Larry's fault tho... I started watching it 9 years ago at the lake. There was nothing else on TV that was not a repeat so I started watching... It is my guilty pleasure for the summer!
Speaking of Summer... (I know Joe it is spelled different).. I also watch Mad Men on Thursday night. It is weird to see someone that you have met on TV. It is a good show and that one guy Rich Sommers is pretty good... they should have him on more! You should watch it... It is strange to watch how sleazy men were back in the 60's... and how women just took it!! I didn't think that I was so much of a "women's libber" as they used to say but then you see some stuff from before and you see how much has changed for the better!

I made it through a whole paragraph with out mentioning the babies! But you know they were coming... how can I not talk about them? They are the best...
I have been doing some digital scrapping and some creating my own papers and embellishments using Adobe Photo shop Elements...
I decided to do a photo book... right now I am working on the pages for it... we will see how it goes...
I do need a baby fix but Larry is working afternoons maybe one night next week! after all it has only been 4 days...since I saw Nora and 5 days since we saw the boys...
That is all for now... I am going to finish watching Mad Men and then go read!

Nora D's birthday and Camping in Minneopa

We spent the weekend with Joe and his family for Nora's first birthday! She is the cutest little girl in the world! We love her...
She had a big birthday bash on Saturday... She opened presents and really enjoyed it...She wasn't quite sure why people kept taking things away and giving her other stuff to open...

She liked all of her presents...
she even shared with her cousins... They all jumped in her new wagon for a ride from Papa...

She liked the singing and the cake... but then she went to taste it... She may be like her daddy... he still doesn't eat cake!

There was a pool party theme and the cousins played in the pool for a while... I think that it was right after this that Logan splashed Nora and she was done... as usual Liam was the last one out of the pool...
The big kids has squirt gun fights and just general water fun with hoses and buckets...

All in all the weekend was great! The weather was wonderful, we ate at BW3's on Friday with Joe Katie and Nora. We got to ride down with Jed... I had a whole lot of time to grill him... and I know that he loves it!!
Saturday was the party... Katie makes an awesome mango salsa... Sunday Jed Joe and Larry went looking for Geo-caches... with out much luck... Katie Nora and I played it smart and opted to stay inside... we went back to the house, put Nora down for a nap and Katie and I read and then napped too! Great afternoon! The guys came back feeling hot and tired and slightly discouraged... maybe next time guys!
Now I am going to go to bed... Look for the birthday page on the website soon... hopefully tomorrow!

I miss the babies!

I miss the babies and I can not wait til' this weekend! If Daddy summer daycare has a field trip to the new Minnesota exhibit at the zoo then I think that Nana and Papa should go along! And if Nora comes up to go to the zoo we can go with her too!!

At the left you can see some of the Smilebox slide shows that I just finished... I like Smile box but I haven't decided if I should join or not!

We're Back!

We just got back today from 5 days in Itasca State Park... we met Helen, Cody and his friend... We had a lot of fun... We biked and read and napped and drove around the park. Larry won all of the quarters for deer sitings... all I saw was chipmunks and squirrels!
I rode a total of about 5 miles. One ride was to the Headwaters. It was fun to see all of the new buildings in the park.

Here are Helen, Cody and two of the dogs...you can see a little of Ellie... she ran all of the way and it was quite a run for her! The other two dogs rode on the bike with Helen... one in a backpack and one in the basket...
Helen and I rested and the boys and Larry went back to get the car... They picked up Helen and me and the dogs!

All in all it was a fun trip...
Larry and I are looking forward to Nora's Birthday party coming up soon along with our last planned camping trip...

Since Thursday...

Thursday I just worked on scrapbooks and cleaned out my little room... it looked pretty good for a few minutes... but then I started scrappin' again... I know what is wrong... I have all of my stuff in bins but I need some shelves next to the table so that I can keep the bins other places than the floor... so now I have to work on that! Anybody have a set of shelves that I can have? The scrapbook that i am working on is going to be a foot thick... I can't bear to throw away any pictures of these babies...
I made a new desktop for my computer and it turned out so cute that i thought that I would share it...
Friday Amy and I did some shopping and spent three hours at Archivers scrapping... that was a lot of fun!
Saturday we looked at bikes and then went and babysat for the dudes... who were little angels...

They woke up from their nap and were both in great moods. We played all kinds of fun games.
Then we got to eat supper with the boys... they ate the same thing we did... spaghetti and meat balls...yum yum yum!

Today we went and bought bikes. Larry and I both got the same model but he got the boy version. Mine is like an old fasioned girls bike... I can step over it... We also got a bike rack that goes on the trailer hitch...We get to pick them up tomorrow! Yeah! Just as we were leaving it started to storm and to pour...
After that we went to Amy and Matt's and then out to Don Pablo's for dinner... That was fun... but then we came home so Larry could take a nap...
Wasn't that exciting? I lead such an exciting life!!

My First Parade!

Yesterday we went down to Mankato where we participated in the 39th annual neighborhood parade for Joe and Katie's neighborhood. I had envisioned me sitting in a chair and Joe and Katie and Nora being in the parade.... WRONG!!! We started at a little park by the house. Nora just kicked back and took it easy...


After the fire trucks got the parade started everyone fell into place behind... Joe Katie and Nora , along with both sets of Nora's grandparents walked along... I don't think that any grandparents there were as proud of their little ones as the Donohoes and the Smenteks! We love that baby!

After we got back to Nora's house we played with the baby... Both grandma's and grandpa's shared that baby... we played very well together!


I have been scrapbooking and I think that in all of the pictures that I have of Nora she doesn't have the same expression twice...



That is just a fraction of the expressions... I can't believe she is going to be one!

I have to go finish sorting out my scrapbooking junk... Later

Tuesday

Dad and I did a bunch of running around this morning... I got my INR checked and it is fine... (that is the thinness of my blood). We went to Michaels and I got some scrapbooking stuff... I started an album for the babies and I have more pictures but I am running out of pages so that will have to be a first year book and I will have to start a different size for the rest...
Sunday we wnet to visit the boys and had a little picnic and the boys had some pool time... here are a few of the pictures...


They love swimming...... Liam was still having fun after Logan got out... He reminded me of Jed... who we used to call fish boy... since he never wanted to get out of the water!

After pooltime they got dipers on and went inside to try the new zebra and Liam even took some steps so I got a picture of it!

Tomorrow we are going to go down to Mankato and see Nora, Katie, and Joe.
