Week end rain

Thursday night we started the weekend early by visiting Joe and Katie and Nora. We had fun playing with sweet crazy Nora... she is funny! Here are a couple of pictures i took of her...

Here she is showing me her fence from her house. I think that I told her it didn't come off or some other silly thing like that! Soon after this she went to bed... then we watched Mad Men... and then went home...

Friday morning we got up and Larry packed the car, we went to the store, packed the food and the cooler and hit the road. We were only going to go to William O'Brien, which is only about 40 miles away... We stopped for lunch at Culver's and went to the park... we had everything set up in about an hour and then we sat and enjoyed the nice afternoon sun and waited for Jeff and Kirstin and the boys to join us.
They showed up and got the tent up before the boys woke up. We played with the boys and took some pictures. We made hot dogs and had supper. Jeff made a fire and we spent a lot of time keeping the guys away from the fire... here are some pictures of the boys camping...

Saturday we got rain... thank God it was not like at Whitewater where I had thought of going... the rain we had was not dangerous just annoying... We went to Famous Dave's and then to the Outlet mall.. Yea shopping...
We went back and it stopped raining and we got to have foil dinners... yum...
We packed up everything all wet but we had a great time... Here we are at the fire later on that night...

We packed up everything all wet but we had a great time... here are Liam and Logan helping us pack up. They were bundled up and under the canopy so they were snug and dry while Mommy and Daddy packed up everything... Nana got to watch them sleep.... tough job but someone had to do it...
That is all of the news I know... next year we will have another little one to take camping! Just a few more weeks til our new little grand baby gets here...

On Wednesday we went to Mankato to see the Moondog's game along with Joe Katie and Nora...
We played with Nora and then we went to the game... where it POURED! We didn't get too wet thanks to our umbrella's but the game was delayed. We were in what they call the "Dog Pound" so we got free food and drinks...(thanks for the tickets Joe)...here are some pictures of Nora... she was happy until she found out that the game wouldn't start til after her bed time... But we all had fun anyway!

Friday we got a storm that knocked out Amy and Matt's power... that is why we have a freezer full of their food... I think there are some steaks in there... hmmm... steak sounds good for supper tonight!
Saturday we went to Larry's aunt Yvonne's house for a graduation party for her grand daughter... (who is Larry's second cousin) Nikki. It was fun to see his family again... It is very hot and dry in Benton county!


On Sunday Jeff, Kirstin, Logan and Liam came over for lunch... Here is Logan ... he did not want to eat corn... he didn't even want it on his tray. He did eat a lot of hotdog tho!
Liam on the other hand really enjoyed his corn on the cob! Larry tried to turn it so he wasn't eating the end and he didn't want to let go of it! He eventually caught on by watching the rest of us... (well not Jeff and Logan) anyway here are some pictures of that "first" for Liam...


This was also the first time that the boys have been to our house since they could walk and they had fun checking it out... they liked pushing the little bus all around and then they discovered the Tupperware cupboard.. Liam was taking things out and stacking them and the he would put them back... later he found some stacking toys and took them over to put them in the cupboard too... (He is like Jeff and Larry I guess... ) Logan was having fun stacking things too but he put stuff away more like I do... you know the "stuff it and shut the door quick" method...

Both boys were fascinated by Brody...(the snake)... Brody likes to know what is going on when he hears voices so he came out to watch the boys... I wonder what he thought those little fingers were.... small "pinkies" again? (pinkies are hairless baby mice that we used to feed Brody). When the boys get bigger I will take Brody out for them and they can hold him... Other Grandmas can have "normal" pets... I am the cool Nana with the snake! Or is it the odd Nana that has a snake!!
Last week I did these layouts... I made everything except the ribbon... background, brushes and other elements are my creations...


So that was our weekend...

Busy Playing!

I have been busy playing with my new Photoshop Elements 5.0.. what fun!! I can do all kinds of cool things with pictures now!!!
This past week we saw all the babies... here are some pictures that I did using PSE5...




I haven't played with the picture of Nora yet...
So now I am going to go take a nap... and or play some more...

More babies

Monday and Tuesday we saw babies! On Monday we stopped by to visit with the boys. They were pretty stuck on Daddy... They did warm up eventually and we got a few hugs... mostly they climbed on their jungle gym aka Jeff! As they were climbing all over Jeff I remembered that he had wanted a monkey... I think a monkey might have climbed on him the same way!! They are much cuter than monkeys tho!
Here is Liam in his cool... "yeah I see you but I won't smile" pose... he always looks like he knows something that I don't...( have fun here my children with your comments!!!)
In the picture below Logan is reaching for his "nuky" which is on the top of my camera... he was not about to come any closer...


On Tuesday we went to Mankato to take Joe and Katie some of their stuff... It has been stored at our house since Connecticut... and the big plus to that was to see Nora! She is getting her top two teeth and chattering all the time...I am curious as to what she is saying! She was having a few mood swings yesterday tho! She can go from happy to ticked in about 2 seconds flat and then just a fast she gets happy again! She likes to hide blocks and other small things under stuff like the footstool, the couch, and the chair.. She is funny but beautiful!
I was also able to go to Pam's house to do some stamping on Tuesday morning with Amy... we had fun... I got to feel Zoey kick for the first time... she is getting crowded in there! Maybe we should start a pool on date and time of delivery, and weight and length. After Matt and Amy took care of his goddaughter over night Matt now knows how to change diapers so he is on his way to being a daddy! We all knew that Matt was good with babies... but now he can help take care of them too!
We even got to see Jed on Sunday too! He needed to borrow the car... but we did see him!
