Logan and Liam celebrate

I am tired so this will be short... I take way too many pictures... I spent about 3 hours resizing the pictures so I can use them on the web... I will put them on tomorrow...
Here is a peek at a few of the pictures that I like...

Here is Kirstin and Liam opening a present

Here is Jeff and Logan reading a card... I think that Logan thought it was funny!

Of course any good birthday celebration needs cake and here are Liam
and Logan enjoying their cake!

This is Logan after he got hosed off... the boys had dirty feet and cake covered faces (and hair and fingers and so on!)

here is Liam with his clean face!

After the cleaning the boys and Nora jumped in the new wagon so Nana could take pictures of the three babies all together...

and of course I need one close up of Nora... she is looking forward to her party in 3 weeks or so!

And now I am going to bed because I am old and tired!!!

Camping with Babies...

We spent a great weekend at Whitewater State Park with the whole family. We arrived on Friday and set up our stuff. Jeff and Kirstin and the dudes arrived next last but not least Amy and Matt showed up. Joe Katie and Nora and Jed came on Saturday morning.
Nora liked watching the birds at the Nature Center...
Liam liked the foil dinners. Here he is waving to Nana.
Logan enjoyed having some Mommy time while Liam slept
Jed climbed a tree. He did a great job going up but he had a little trouble on the dismount. He landed on a big rock... ask him about it!

I know that this is short BUT I just spent 6 hours on the web site...check it out!!

Valley Fair and other things

On Father's day i went to Valley Fair with Jeff, Kirstin and the dudes... I kept up pretty well... or at least they made me feel like i did... I got to rest while everyone else played in the water... Here is Logan... he liked going under the water...

Here is Liam... he liked it too... but he also really likes his mom!

These last two pictures were while the boys were on the carousel... think they were wondering what was going on????

These are the two cutest boys in the world!

We are going to go camping with the family this weekend... I can't wait to see all the babies... and of course all their parents too...
That is about all that is new around here... it is boring... I am tired... I cleaned up the junk room today... what fun!!!

Cold week!

Larry and i went to Gooseberry State park for four nights and it was COLD!! We had a beautiful site on the lake. Larry hiked a lot. I hiked a little...a mile and a half... which was a long walk for me!
We went to Two Harbors on Monday to buy sleeping bags... I know it was 90 here in the cities but it was in the 40's at night at Gooseberry. We drove up to Grand Marais and then a ways up the Gunflint to see the damage from the fire....
When we came home we unpacked and then went on a river cruise with the South Grove Staff...kind of a last hurrah for everyone before moving on. It was fun.
Friday I had lunch with Deb Klein and that was fun. We had fun discussing our soon to be new grand daughter...
Friday evening Joe and katie stayed at our house on the way to Duluth. We got to play with Nono and have fun. We all went to Angelo's for Pizza and then came back to the house so Nora could sleep... she is so cute.... "How Cute is Nora?" your might ask...

SO CUTE!!!
She would show you! She is adorable!

Tomorrow I get to go to Valley Fair with Liam and Logan... Oh yeah Jeff and Kirstin and Jed are going too... I haven't see the boys in a week so I can't wait!

That is about it for now... I updated the website so there are pictures of our trip and of Nora and the boys...

The last day

Today is the last day of school... I am happy that i can sleep later and do what i want instead of what I have to do...BUT today is the LAST day... today is the last student day at South Grove EVER... I am not sure what the plan for the building is but today is the last day that kids voices will echo in the hallway. This school has been a part of my life since 1959. Here is a list of some of the memories
1. I used to play in the woods where the school is now.
2. I attended the school for 6th grade the first year it was open
3. I was in the only 7th grade classes in the school... (there wasn't room in the high school for the 7th grade...
4. I dug clay out of a hill on the school playground...
5. We skated on the ice rink that was in the playground.
6. After I grew up my children attended South Grove
7. I volunteered at school for my kid's teachers, joined the PTA, made friends and helped out
8. From the time Jeff started and the time Jed ended there was18 years of always having a child at South Grove.
9. I have worked in the building for 20 years.
10. Combine volunteering(18) and working at South Grove(20) and attending South Grove and I have spent 29 and 1/2 years at South Grove...
So today will be a different day... I am going to miss South Grove...
It always rains when school gets out... usually around 3:00 in the afternoon... Today there is a big threat of tornado's...between 10 and 4... school is out at 11:05...
Wouldn't it be funny if God was mad about South grove closing and one of the tornado's they are worried about for today hit South Grove? no one hurt of course but the building smashed? Crazy...

Rain

This was a fun week end... we went to a wedding on Saturday... my friend Deb's son Jack got married... it was at the Depot and it was very beautiful... Before we got to the wedding we had to drop off some stuff for Jed. He was on his way home from doing his laundry.... After we left Jed's house it started to rain... then pour and hail. We were worried about Jed. I continued to worry about Jed making it home with his clean clothes... I pictured him being outside and getting pelted... I had that feeling of doom that mom's get when one of their kids may be in trouble.... just a feeling....
After the wedding and before Dinner I talked to Jed and he was fine... by then it had stopped raining and the feeling had gone away... Turns out i thought the feeling was about Jed but I should have worried about Jeff, Kir and the boys!! They were at Como... read Jeff's blog...
On Sunday we went to Mankato to see Joe Katie and Nono... she was funny as usual and of course beautiful... She played and stood and fell asleep on Papa this time. we played with her while Joe and katie unpacked some more stuff... Their house is starting to take shape... the downstairs is almost done and the upstairs is well on it's way...
here is a picture of Nora...
And here is a picture of her standing around... she was fascinated by just standing there... every once in a while she would move her hand or turn loose with one hand... And of course she fell every once in a while...

So that was our weekend... now I have to go to work... 3 days after today! yea!
